Obituary of David Cook

David C. Cook CAYCE: Service for David C. Cook, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Tom Atten. Entombment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, Burn Center, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. Mr. Cook died Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Born in Aiken, SC, he was a son of the late Davis Cook and Nan Warren Cook. He was retired from Bagnal Builders. He was the best father, a wonderful friend, loving husband and father. Mr. Cook was a member of Cayce Masonic Lodge #284. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Nell Cook of Cayce; daughters, Glenda Senterfeit (Kenny) of South Congaree and Marie Jeffcoat of West Columbia; sons, Dickey Cook of Gaston and Alfred Nettles (Lisa) of Cayce; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
