Obituary of Bobbie Verlinden

Bobbie Windham Verlinden WEST COLUMBIA: Service for Bobbie Louise Windham Verlinden, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, at Celestial Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, it is Mrs. Verlinden's wish that memorials may be sent to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929, or the Humane Society, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209. Mrs. Verlinden went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jake Windham and Inez Simpson Windham. She attended Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Mrs. Verlinden supported the Humane Society, she was a great lover of animals and the beach; and a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors are: her husband of 60 years, Albert R. Verlinden of West Columbia; daughters, Pat Cicchino (Lou) of West Columbia, Lynn Roof (Brent) of Lexington and Teresa Melton (Mike) of Blythewood; son, Robert Verlinden (Richard Dillon) of West Columbia; also a grandson, Tanner Roof of Lexington.
