Obituary of Blaine King

Mr. Blaine S. King, 87, of Columbia died Monday, November 21, 2011, at his home. He was born in Owensdale , PA, December 11, 1923, a son of the late Chalfant W. King and Elizabeth Dieterly King. He has been a resident of Columbia since 1973 and was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church. Mr. King served in the U.S. Navy during WII as an Aviation Machinist Mate. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 26, 2011 at North Trenholm Baptist Church. His body will be placed in the church at 9:00 am. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 pm Friday, November 25, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. He was preceaded in death by wife, Christine King, sons; James and Kenneth King, stepson; Charles L. Judice and brothers; Gilliam and Robert King. Surviving is a son; Samuel King and his wife, Cathy of Lathrop, MA, daughter; Kathleen King of Uniontown, PA and a daughter-in-law; Betty King of Baden, PA. Stepsons; L. Edward Judice and wife, Sigrid of Columbia, John Judice of Lexington, stepdaughter-in-law, Emie of Pensacola, FL and one sister; LaVerne Lane of Connellsville, PA. Grandsons; Chad King of Baden, PA, Bradley and Jeffery King both of Lathrop, MO, granddaughter; Melissa King of Baden, PA Greenlawn Funeral Home is serving the family.
