Obituary of John Settle

Memorial services for John E. Settle will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Settle passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. He was born September 30, 1943 to Stanley and Elouise Settle, and grew up in Asheville, NC. He was a U.S. Army, and served in Korea. He graduated from Presbyterian College, and was retired from PMSC. He also spent 15 years as a softball coach at various schools and recreation leagues. Surviving are his loving daughters, Kelly Hall (husband Steve) of Summerville, and April Settle of Irmo; father, Stanley Settle; a sister, Betsy Adams of Columbia; a brother, Joseph Settle (wife Deborah) of Mooresville, NC; sister-in-law, Judy Settle of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jackson and Kaylee.
