Obituary of Cynthia Gordon

Cynthia Jean Gordon COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Cynthia Jean "Cindy" Gordon, 62, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Michael Shull. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Mrs. Gordon died Monday, December 19, 2011. Born in Gowanda, NY, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Cooper and Thelma Pierce Cooper. She was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians "Beaver Clan". Surviving are her husband, Robert Blake of Columbia; daughters, Shelley Richburg of Leesville and Tanya Christian of Lexington; son, Ramsey Gordon of Leesville; sisters, Sylvia Joy Cooper of Irving, NY, Laurie Cooper of Rochester, NY and Carla Roberge of Gowanda, NY; also her fourteen grandchildren.
