Obituary of Sylvia Cannon Johnson

COLUMBIA-Sylvia Cannon Johnson passed away at her home on July 26, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Edward G. Johnson, Sr., son, Edward G. Johnson, Jr. (Toby); daughter, Suzan Endicott (Sandy); grandsons, Ryan and Michael Weathers; two great grandsons, Eli and Shai; and her brother, George Ray Cannon, Jr. In addition to her parents she was predeceased, by her sister, Jocelyn Austin and her brother, David Cannon. Sylvia retired from The State Treasurer's Office, after 30 years of service as a Fiscal Analyst. Her kindness and generosity extended to all God's creatures. Sylvia requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Patter Pets, P.O. Box 9594, Columbia, SC 29290. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
