Obituary of Maree H. Steen

Maree Steen, 81, the daughter of late John Henry & Lola Heins. She was born in Columbia on July 16, 1942, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 29.  
Maree is survived by her 4 children: daughter, Carla Bell (John) of NC; sons, James W. Steen III (Sarah) of SC, John Steen (Sherry) of OH, and Jeremy Steen of SC; her 7 grandchildren: Jahmal, James, Kathryn, Brittany, Katelin, Ashley, and Jacob; and her 5 great grandchildren: Maranda, Nickolas, Kaliyah, Jarrod, and Carter. She is preceded in death by husband, James W. Steen Jr., and 2 grandchildren, John and Christopher Bell. 
Services for Maree will take place Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 11a.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC.  Family will visit with friends starting at 10a.m. Burial will follow at noon in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
