Obituary of Linda Kaye Melton

Linda Kaye Melton, 70, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away September 1, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care, Lexington, South Carolina. She was born on January 12, 1953 in Bamburg, South Carolina to the late Everlee and Ida (Jeffcoat) Driggers.

Linda was the epitome of the firecracker red head. She was strong in her will and gentle in her spirit even while helping those that needed her support. Her unique wisdom was evident in the many ways she moved thru the family. Linda was a home maker and an amazing cook. She was famous for her squash casserole. Linda will be missed dearly by those she loved and those that loved her.

Linda is survived by her children: Lou Ann, Angela, Patricia, Brian, David and Wesley. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren to treasure her memory.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bubba.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
