Obituary of Estelle Anderson Hartsell

Estelle Anderson Hartsell, 93, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  

A native of Lexington County, SC, where she graduated from Brooklyn Cayce High School. Estelle worked for over 20 years at BellSouth, starting as a switchboard operator and moving up in the company until her retirement in 1985. Estelle was a beloved member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cayce.  

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Anderson; her father, Raymond Anderson; and her husband, Harold Hartsell. She left behind a daughter, Gale Meetze; her sister, Pearl Tidwell; her brother, Jerry Anderson; and her grandchildren; as well as several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 7th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd., Lexington, with a graveside service on Friday, Sept. 8th at 10:00am, Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Rd. W, West Columbia.
