Marcha Casselman

Obituary of Marcha Driggers Casselman

Marcha D. Casselman, aged 74, was called home to our Lord on Thursday, August 17th. She passed peacefully in her home in Camden, SC. She was born in Columbia, SC, on June 4th, 1949, to Thomas C. and Mary Ann Driggers. She later married the love of her life David S. Casselman, on January 27th, 1972. After 28 years of service as the Office Manager at Casselman Sheet Metal Service, she happily retired. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC.

Marcha was an accomplished artist and avid reader. She was a general aviation pilot that relished her time in the air. She was known for her love of cooking, particularly baking, and her huge heart for giving to others. She was a talented musician, playing the piano, banjo, bass, guitar, and enjoyed sharing her beautiful voice through gospel music. Two of her greatest loves were horses and sports cars, both of which she got to enjoy thorough her lifetime. But as much as she was known for her many talents, Marcha was known for her adoration for children and the intense love she had for her family.

Marcha is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, David S. Casselman; daughters, Tracey Casselman of Gibsonville, NC and Shelley (Jeff) Martin of Hyden, KY; son, Jason (Miranda) Casselman of Lugoff, SC; sisters, Margaret (John) Bovard and Marie Merritt, both of Baker, FL, and Mary (Bo) Creech of Barnwell, SC; grandchildren, Thomas Hayhurst, Mallory Brabham, Austin Heinen, Wayne Brabham, Matthew Martin, Andrew Casselman; and great-grandchildren, Brett Simpson, Zachary Hayhurst, and Jordan Hayhurst.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Thomas (Tommy) C. Driggers, and grandson, Jordan.
