Obituary of Gwendolyn Easler Fitzgerald

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Easler Fitzgerald, a native of Spartanburg, SC, died following a brief hospitalization at Greenville Memorial Hospital.  Her husband, Joseph, pre-deceased her in 2009.  She is survived by her three children, Barry Fitzgerald and spouse Debbie, John Fitzgerald and his spouse Kathy, and Daphne Spratling and her spouse Johnny.  She enjoyed her seven grandchildren, Erik Fitzgerald, Erin Yeary, Kellie Masone, Ashley Fitzgerald, Corey Jungclaus, Anna Smith, and Caroline Stone.  A special smile was saved for her nine great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. Fitzgerald graduated from Spartanburg High School.  She worked for the James L. Tapp Company for 30 years and retired as Credit Manager.  Then after a brief time in retail sales, she worked for Credit Management Acceptance Corporation for 15 years.  She served as an officer of Credit Women International for several years.  Memorials can be made to the American Red Cross at American Red Cross.org.
