Obituary of Joan W. Bouknight

Joan Elizabeth Wolfe Bouknight, 90, of West Columbia, SC passed away at home on Sunday, August 13, 2023 following a long battle with Parkinson’s.

Born in Union County, NC, Joan was the daughter of the late June Nesbitt Wolfe and Annie Lemmonds Wolfe. She graduated from Indian Land High School in Indian Land, SC.

Joan is survived by her children, Michael (Bobbie) Bouknight, Mona (Duke) Anderson, and Janice Bouknight; two sisters, Frances Coley of Rock Hill, and Louise Riddle of Fort Mill; grandchildren, Beth (Scott) Farmer, Sara (Trevor) Gibson, Amy Bouknight-White; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her three brothers, William, Larry, and Stitt Wolfe; and three sisters, Emily Comer, June Starnes, and Catherine Funderburk.
