Obituary of Mildred Earnest

Mildred P. Earnest passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  She was born in Orangeburg on September 10, 1930.  She is predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Earnest; parents, James and Susan Porter; and ten siblings. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Manley and many many nieces and nephews.  

She was a loving wife to her husband, Woodrow.  She was loved by many people and always had a smile on her face and loved life. She was the caretaker for her youngest brother for many years prior to his death from Covid.  She was also a breast cancer survivor.   

She retired from working in sales and retail.  

A service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
