Obituary of Nell Buff

Nell Shull Buff of Springdale, SC, went to her home in glory on August 5, 2023. 

She was born February 29, 1924, to Ernest Melton Shull and Allie Perry Shull.  Nell was married to the late Martin L. “Monk” Buff for 55 years. They had a wonderful life filled with extended family and friends. They loved to travel, entertain, and compete in ballroom dancing. Nell was very active in Mount Hermon Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women, and Woodmen of the World. In her retirement years, Nell enjoyed bowling, playing Scrabble, traveling with her sisters, and working in her yard. She retired from Konica Business Machines. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Nell was predeceased by her sisters, Pearl Zeigler, Eva Hulon, Myrtle Jenkins, Betty Wright, and brothers, Ernest Shull and Carl Shull. What a day of rejoicing it must have been when Nell made the circle complete.

The family would like to thank the staff of NHC Lexington who cared for her in recent years and also Abbey Road Hospice. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in West Columbia, SC or a charity of one's choice.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 3PM at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church in West Columbia, followed by an inurnment at the church cemetery.
