Obituary of Justin Emory Scott Harsey

Justin Emory Scott Harsey, born on August 24, 1989, known by family and close friends as “Jut”, entered his Heavenly Father’s presence on August 4, 2023.

Justin had a heart of gold, an infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up a room. He had a love like no other for his Lord Jesus Christ, life, family, friends, his sweet dog CoCo, hunting, fishing, playing pool and anything that consisted of tearing things apart and rebuilding them. Justin was the definition of a true friend, always there when you need him.

Justin is survived by the love of his life of 13 years, Ashley; his parents, John Harsey, Kimberley and Chris Shealy; brothers, Jonathan Harsey, Christopher Shealy, Sean Harsey, Trenton Sexton; sisters, Jessica Peralta, Tara Harsey, and Ashley Carney (Drake); along with numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Justin was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Renate Turner; his father-in-law, Gerald Best; his paternal grandparents, Bobby and Janice Harsey; and uncle, Gene Harsey.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1PM at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, SC, with the burial following the service at Southland Memorial Gardens in Lexington, SC.
