Obituary of Betty T. Gleaton

It is with great sadness that the family of Betty T Gleaton (93) of West Columbia, South Carolina, announces her death on August 1, 2023. She was born to the late Harry and Belva Truesdale of Summerton, South Carolina.

Betty was involved in many organizations during her long life including banking, Credit Professionals International, and very active in the church that she loved, St Mark United Methodist Church. She was a care giver to many and was well loved and thought of.

She is survived by her brother, Harry Truesdale (Jane); children, Audrey Navarre, and Tommy Gleaton (Joan). Grandchildren are Missy Prasun (Brian), Chris Gleaton, and Holley Imel (Matt). Great grandchildren are Cullen and Nola Prasun and Vince Gleaton. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Billy T Gleaton, and brothers, Alton and Daniel Truesdale.

Her funeral service will be held in the mausoleum at Elmwood Cemetery on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 12:00 pm with internment to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St Mark United Methodist Church.
