Obituary of Robert Donald Clarke

Robert Donald "Donnie" Clarke, 57, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2023.

Donnie was born on February 9, 1966, to Lessie and James Clarke, in Columbia SC. He attended Keenan High School and Midlands Technical College. He was employed with Prysmian Cables of Lexington, SC for 34 years.

Donnie loved anything SC Gamecocks, sports, and was a loyal, dedicated employee to Prysmian Cables. In his free time he watched anything to do with the Gamecocks and spent time with his beloved dog, Murray.

Donnie is survived by his only child, Chandler Clarke (Caitlin); sisters, Carol Bradley and Kathy Powell (Jim); and brother, Tommy Clarke (Frances). He also has several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Lessie Clarke; father, James Clarke; sister, Betty Benedict; and brother, Jammy Clarke.

There will be a visitation held on Friday, August 4, 2023 beginning at 2pm to 5pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC.
