Obituary of Doris Odell Haley

Doris Odell Haley, 93, of West Columbia, SC went to be with her Lord on Friday July 21, 2023. She was born in Lamar, SC on June 28, 1930, and was the daughter of the late James Mixon and Margie Cross Mixon. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Haley; brothers, James Mixon and Lavaughn Cross; and sister, Elizabeth Mixon. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Carroll (Donnie McLeod); grandsons, Emery Carroll and Dayven McLeod; and granddaughters, Taylor Haley and Zoey McLeod.

Doris attended Grace Covenant Tabernacle and was a devout, born again Christian. She was a generous, loving, kind person who was greatly loved by everyone who knew her.

A memorial service for Doris will be held Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC 29073.  Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery following the service. Officiating will be Rev. Gerald Hughes and Rev. Tim Cross.
