Obituary of Daniel F. Robertson

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel (Dan) Finch Robertson, 81, known as Buzz to all his friends and family. Dan was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Bill and Hazel Robertson. He is survived by his brother, Greg (Lynn) Robertson; his 4 children, Lisa Hoskins, Lynn (David) Cash, Chris Robertson, and Jerald Robertson; as well as 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Dan met many new friends during his time as owner of “The Plant Shop” on State St. in West Columbia which he owned for more than 15 years. Dan loved his family, friends, “The Plant Shop,” and his beloved dog, Flora. Dan had a special relationship with nature and landscaping. He loved bringing yards to life for his many clients in landscape design. He always enjoyed the finished product as much as if not more than his customers.  Dan was loved by everyone that was lucky enough to know him.  He will truly be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at the West Columbia Community Center, 754 B Ave West Columbia, SC 29169 on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.  Please come share your favorite memories of Buzz.  All are welcome.
