Obituary of Trelly Kay Shealey

On Friday, July 14, 2023, Trelly Kay Shealey of West Columbia, loving Mother, Grammy, and Sister passed away at the age of 74. 

Trelly was born August 7, 1948 in Columbia, SC to Clarence T. Shealey and Vivian (Gantt) Shealey.  She retired from Medical Services of America and was a member of Dunn’s Chapel Church.

Trelly is survived by daughters, Mindy G. Fowler (Donnie), and Jamie L. Grubbs, both of West Columbia; granddaughter, Kames D. Furtick (Cecil) of Blackville; grandsons, AJ and CT Fowler of West Columbia; great-granddaughter, Ellorie Kay Furtick of Blackville; sister, Clara Hutto (Tony) of West Columbia; brother, Todd Shealey (Sandy) of Pelion; and ex-husband, but friend through it all, Jimmy Grubbs of Gilbert.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Faye Quaethem.

Funeral Service will be held at Dunn’s Chapel, 281 Chapel Rd. West Columbia, SC, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 12:00 PM.  Visitation will start at 11:00 AM at Dunn’s Chapel.  Following the funeral service, she will be laid to rest at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia.
