Obituary of Janice Brown Hendley

Janice Hendley, 65, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2023. She was born in Columbia, SC to the late Ralph Teasley Brown and mother, Sidelle King Brown.

Janice graduated from Brookland Cayce High School and went on to later graduate from Columbia College. She was a longtime employee of Greentree/Conseco. After the closing of Greentree/Conseco, she started a position with the Town of Lexington in the Utility Department, where she felt at home and was the office mom to everyone. She brought a smile to everyone’s face no matter what was going on with her own life. She has touched the heart of many. She will forever live on in our hearts.

Janice enjoyed every minute of her family. She loved walking on the beach and laying out in the sun eating ham sandwiches. Janice spent her life loving and caring for her family and friends. She was an active member of Boiling Springs United Methodist Church and a part of the Wonderful Wednesday’s program and helped in the kitchen where she made many memories and brought joy to all the kids. She will be missed by many.
