Obituary of Henry Clayton Williams, Jr.

Henry Clayton Williams, 91, of Pelion, South Carolina, passed away July 1, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Goldie "Wanda" Williams, his daughter Judith Taylor, grandsons Shawn Galloway and Johnny "Steve" Martin, and brother-in-law Red Desnoyers.

He is survived by his wife Alberta; children, Howard Williams and Donna Tuggle; grandchildren, Larry Tuggle, Angel Callahan (Will), Brian Tuggle, and Steven McCormick (Dana); great grandchildren, Alyssa Callahan, Briana Callahan, Novaleigh Tuggle, Kaleigh, Abby and Braelyn McCormick; as well as four stepdaughters and eleven step-grandchildren.

Mr. Williams served in the United States Army for 21 years and later retired from Lucas Septic Tanks after 31 years.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 6 – 8 PM at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12 noon, also at Thompson Funeral Home. The interment will be held at Southland Memorial Park.
