Obituary of Melvin Jerome Hinton

Mr. Melvin Jerome Hinton, Jr., 39, husband of Gwendolyn Hinton, passed June 29, 2023.  He was born June 23, 1984, in Perth Amboy, NJ. He was the son of the late Melvin Jerome Hinton, Sr., and the late Lorriann Walker Hinton and stepson of Darryl McGainey.  He attended the public schools of Sumter County. He was a member of Word of Deliverance Outreach Ministries.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He never met a stranger; everyone who encountered him loved him. He had a radiant smile and a contagious laughter that would light up a room.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Gwendolyn Hinton, his loving daughter Gabriella Hinton, his adopted daughter Amanda Collins, a very special niece Destanee Joiner, two loving aunts Annmarie Walker and Kim Walker and a host of families and friends that will miss him dearly.

Melvin will be gone but never forgotten.
