Obituary of Peatsa Miller McDaniels

Peatsa Miller McDaniels, 85, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away June 18, 2023, at her home in Graniteville, South Carolina. She was born on November 20, 1937, in Saluda, South Carolina to the late B. Tillman and Lorean Johnson Miller. 

Peatsa was a graduate of Ridge Spring High School and worked various jobs throughout her life. Peatsa loved her family and her dog, Hilda. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. 

Peatsa is survived by her son, David Barnes (Jan); her two sisters, Pearlious Bledsoe and Kay Newton; her grandchildren, Nick and Mackenzie Barnes, Christy Fink, and Terry-Jo Riddle; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman and Lorean Miller; her daughter, Johnnette (Terry Alvin) Riddle; her sisters, Mary Alice Moore and Lucille Amick; and her brothers, Charles J., Duane, Gerald, Jimmy, and John G. Miller. 

The family would like to express their thanks to Peatsa’s niece, Pamela L. Garrett, for 5 years of caregiving. 

A memorial service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, June 28th at Enon Lutheran Church with Pastor Jann Boyd officiating. Family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service. Memorials may be made to the Enon Lutheran Church, 108 Berkeley Rd, Leesville, SC 29070.
