Obituary of Ernest M. Brown

Ernest Michael Brown, 67, of South Carolina, passed away June 4, 2023 at home in Columbia with his wife, Tosha Brown by his side. He was born on July 2, 1955 in Fort Hood, TX, to Ernest L. and Elsie Mae Brown.

Ernest Michael, known as Mike, is survived by his wife, Tosha Brown; sister, Robin Brown and her fiancé, Brenda Sturkie; niece, Melissa Cowan and her fiancé, Mayo Jones; his 3 sons, 2 daughters, 29 grandchildren, 6 nephews, and 1 great-nephew. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Benjamin Brown; sisters, Dixie Dyer and Vicky Watts; and brother-in-law, Jerry Watts.

Mike was employed by the City of Columbia, water and street division. He was a big Carolina fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A private family service will be held at a later date.
