Melba Cassidy was born in West Columbia on May 30, 1936. West Columbia is where Melba called home her entire life. After marrying the love of her life, she started her family. Not only was she a wonderful mother, but she was a successful driven woman as well. Melba worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. She obtained a career that would eventually allow her to retire and care for her family this is what she did best!

In addition to her family, some of Melba’s hobbies included bowling, camping and reading at least one a novel a day! Let’s not forget her love for baseball. Go Braves!

To have known Melba was a joy. To be loved by Melba was an honor. She showed us all what family truly means, and for that we are grateful! She will be forever missed and forever in our hearts!

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
