Obituary of Eddie Winters

Eddie Winters, age 80, of Pelion, SC joined our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours on May 18, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at home. He was born in Asheville, NC on April 20, 1943, raised by his mother Annie Mae Winters. He was married to his beloved wife, Lynda F. Winters on October 6, 1972 in Columbia, SC.

Eddie was a strong Christian and a hardworking man that provided for his family. He enjoyed sports, spending time with family, and reading his bible. He was a member of Convent Baptist Church in Leesville, SC.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda F. Winters; sons, Shane (Duree) Winters, Shawn (Cindy) Winters, and Brian (Amber) Winters; grandchildren, Kimberly Winters, Cory Winters, Matthew Winters, Stevie Westbrook, Jonathan Skipper, Ben Skipper, Caleb Skipper, Alex Winters, Haley Winters, and Katelyn Winters.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2PM at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, SC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1PM – 2PM and the burial will take place immediately following the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC.

Eddie Winters will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
