Obituary of Walter D. Lovett

Walter D. Lovett, 77, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away May 5, 2023. He was born on April 13, 1946 in Richland County, to the late Earl and Mary Lovett.

Walter is survived by his daughter, Amanda Lovett and his son, Michael Lovett, four grandchildren and his lady friend, Dorothy Louise Powell.

He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a lifetime member of the Springdale Masonic Lodge 412 where he served as Master in 1994. Walter also was a Shriner. He worked as an electrician and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, with burial to follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens, West Columbia. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Jamil Shrine Temple, 206 Jamil Rd., Columbia, SC  29210.
