Alice Faye Woodrum Barnett

Alice Faye Woodrum Barnett, 84 of Columbia died Thursday, April 27, 2023, at her residence. She was born on July 4, 1938, in Ward, West Virginia to the late Rodna Lee and Allie K. (Perry) Woodrum.

Faye was the widow of the late Floyd F. “Jack” Barnett. She retired from Kroger Foods after 18 years of dedicated service.

She is predeceased by her son, Floyd F. Barnett, Jr.; brothers, Rodney L. “Jr” Woodrum and Jack Okey Woodrum; and sister, Barbara J. Amrhein.

Faye is survived by her children, Linda K. Brazel, Pamela B. Brazell (Rod) both of Columbia, SC and Lloyd N. Barnett of Red Bank, SC; grandchildren, Tara M. Brazel-Nichols (Steven), Dustin M. Barnett (Brook), and Allie K. Barnett; great-grandchildren, Jack Bransel Barnett, Evelyn Faye Barnett, and Orion Nichols; her sisters, Phyllis A. Rutan of Red House, WV and Brenda K. Goldman of Cross Lanes, WV; her brothers, George “Butch” Woodrum of Bancroft, WV and Russell L. “Rusty” Woodrum of Pueblo, CO.

She loved to travel, spend time with her family and friends, cook, garden, and read. She always had time for anyone that needed her, she will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC 29209.  Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
