Obituary of Sara Ray

Sara N. Ray, 66, of Lexington, SC went to her heavenly home on March 15, 2023. 

She leaves behind a loving family, to include a daughter Stephanie Barnhill (Phillip) and a son Grant Norris (Lori). She has 5 grandchildren: Michael Norris, Nathan Norris, Rebekah Norris, Allison Barnhill and Rylan Barnhill. Sara was the daughter of the late Douglas Watson and the late Helen Watson; sister of Cathy Szpindor (Ron), Doug Watson (Cindy) and Janine Moseley. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Norris of 11 years and her husband Robert Ray of 22 years.

Sara retired from Lexington School District One where she was a computer service technician for the Pelion schools. She was a beautiful woman and had such a sweet spirit. She could always make you smile. Sara was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family. Visitation will begin at 2:00p.m., with a service to follow at 3:00p.m. on March 19, 2023, at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Lexington.
