Obituary of Lynn Cathey Moody

Lynn Cathey Moody, 52, of Hopkins, South Carolina, wife of Alan Moody, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was born on June 13, 1970 in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Jerry D. Cathey and Peggy W. Cathey.

In addition to her husband of 15 years, she is survived by 1 daughter, Cassidy Sawyer; 1 sister, Tara Cathey Davis (Robert); 3 sons, Justin Moody (Chantley Rye), Ethan Moody, Joshua Weeks (Rita); 6 grandchildren, Ava Moye, Kyndal Moody, Tate Moody, Tallan Moody, Lakyn Moody and Mason Weeks; 1 nephew, Bo Davis; 1 niece, Sarah Hutchins; and 4 great nieces, Tagen, Blake, Aubree and Stevie.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with services starting afterwards at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.
