Obituary of Leman E. Greene, Jr.

Leman Edward Greene, Jr., went to be with the Lord, on February 25th, 2023. 

Lee will join his loving wife, Trudi Taylor Greene, in Heaven. He is survived by his adoring family:  eldest son, Leman E. Greene, III (Jessica) of Traveler’s Rest, SC; son, Steven Devereaux Greene (Kristin) of Cary, NC and daughter, Courtney Greene Turner (Justin) of Simpsonville, SC.  In addition to his children, “Grandpa” leaves his cherished grandchildren: Lillian Dorothy and Olivia Taylor Turner and Jaxon Devereaux Greene; his sister, Jane Greene Tumminia (Frank), brothers James Garnett Greene and Daniel Steven Greene (Tracy), and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. His parents, Leman Edward Greene, Sr. and Nora Odom Greene, precede him.

Lee was born in Union, SC and then moved to Abbeville, SC, where he graduated from Abbeville High School. He enlisted in the Navy and was a proud member who served the country he loved until his honorable discharge. He then went on to receive his Associates degree from Chesterfield Technical College. He had a successful career in the Plumbing supply business for 35+ years.

Lee loved the outdoors.  You could find him hunting, fishing, and golfing on any given weekend.  He also loved spending time with his family at Folly Beach and shagging on the Boulevard.  Most recently, you could find Lee in his garage, surrounded by familiar squirrels, birds, and deer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Wildlife Center in Columbia.  A Graveside Service for family and close friends will be held.
