Obituary of Susan Annette Laird

Susan Annette Laird, 59, of West Columbia, SC passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023.  She was born January 11, 1964 in Holly Hill, SC, to Barbara Watkins and Jefferson “Sonny” Hair.

Susan attended primary and secondary schools in Holly Hill.  She was known for her penchant for decorating, and for her love of plants and flowers.

Susan is survived by her husband of 32 years, C. Michael Laird; her children, Thomas Michael Jeffers (Johni), Casey Annette Russell (Lamond), and Charles Ethan Russell; grandchildren, Aaliyah Russell, Jayden Jeffers, and Brielle Jeffers; sister, Jean Prezzy (Nathaniel); and brother, Jeff Carson (Kim).

A memorial service for Susan will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC.  The family will visit with friends prior to the service, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
