Obituary of Jeanette Louise White

Jeanette Louise White of Chapin, SC passed away on January 18, 2023 after a short illness.  She was born February 12, 1936 to the late Harold C. and Katherine "Sally" L. Jacob.  Jeanette was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother.

Jeanette is survived by her husband David of 70 years, son Darrell (Melinda), sister Barbara Geloewski, nieces Allison Driggers and Tracy Geloewski, grandchildren Jeanette (Marco), Darrell Jr. (Jozelin), David Allen (Damarys), and Graceland Rose, 7 great grandchildren and close family friend Nilde Bildeston Ventresca.

Jeanette was a devoted caregiver to her parents to whom she gave full-time, first-rate care for 24 years.  Even when she, in later years, could barely walk, she never left their side.

Before Jeanette began caring for her parents, she loved gardening, spontaneous trips to the mountains and beach, and shopping with her mom and sister.  She also loved decorating her beautiful home – and she could do wonders with a can of spray paint!  She enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing the game Aggravation with her husband David. 

Jeanette so enjoyed her grandchildren’s visits over the years as she watched them grow up and have families of their own.  She loved the pictures and videos they would often send.  She loved gospel music and loved to sing along always having a song in her heart.  And she always loved hearing her son play the piano.

Jeanette had a great sense of humor and sweet spirit.  To know her was to love her.

Jeanette is missed greatly by her husband David and immediate and extended family, but we are all so happy that she has made it to her eternal home where she was joyously greeted by her parents and many other family members.
