I know you guys already know that Aunt Roddey was our favorite. Aunt Roddey was full of life and was always cutting up and laughing. She hung out with us young-un, we were of various ages. She seem to be more comfortable with us. When I married Robert, one the first things we did was go to a family reunion in Wagner. Aunt Roddey, sat with us at the reunion, we cut up and laughed and just had such a good time with her. She was always the same no matter when you saw her. It was the first time Robert had met Aunt Roddy, he fell in love with her instantly. When it was time to go get some of that wonderful country cookin. Aunt Roddy told Robert that she needed him to "help her plate". Robert and I just looked at eah other. Robert told Aunt Roddey, I don't know what that means but I'll help you with anything you need. Aunt Roddey explained that she got a little nervous and felt awkward "helping her plate", filling her plate. Since that day she made Robert her Official "PLATE HELPER. She was soo fun! Trissie & Robert.

I never had the pleasure of meeting you, “Granny Gunter”, but definitely feel that I knew you through Salinda. Rest in peace, sweet lady. My condolences to your family. I know they will all miss you.
