Obituary of Beverly Fay Pender Franklin Bolin

Beverly Fay Pender Franklin Bolin, 84, of Leesville, SC, went home peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior, on December 24, 2022. Beverly was born in Birmingham, AL, to James Lewis Pender and Winnie Mae (Cobb) Pender. She leaves behind a loving and devoted family, to include her devoted husband of 21 years, Wesley Bolin; a brother, Thomas Pender (Connie); four daughters, Lori Patrick (Wyman) of Lexington, Laura Long Obi of Columbia, Lisa Michaelis (Joe) of Prosperity, and Leigh Albers of Columbia; and a sister-in-law, Eunice Meetze of Leesville, who served devotedly for years as her caretaker. She was grandmother to nine grandchildren, and great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Nanny,” and to her adoring Birmingham family as “Aunt Bea.”

Beverly graduated from Ensley High School in Birmingham, AL, in 1956. She served for many years as an administrative assistant at the University of South Carolina Printing Department, and was nicknamed “Miss Sunshine” for her constant sunny disposition. She adored her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and loved any opportunity to play the piano at various churches that she attended, to include serving as the pianist for a gospel quartet. She was very musically gifted, loved people, and gave of her time unselfishly.
