Obituary of Martin William Belger

Martin William Belger, 84, of Columbia, SC peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Martin was born to the late William M. and Ethel Belger on December 31, 1937, in Columbia.

Martin served more the 20 years with the US Army- National Guard before retirement.

He and his late wife, Sarah, owned and operated the popular Coffee House and Martin’s Restaurant for many years.

Martin is predeceased by his parents; wife, Sarah Harbot Belger; daughter, Cherry Lane Belger; and sibling, Jackie Belger.

He is survived by his siblings, Billy Belger, Rev. Odell Belger, Lois Howze and Douglas Belger; his nephews; his nieces; and a host of other family and friends

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 14,2002 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lykesland in Hopkins, SC. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. A burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
