Obituary of Glenn D. Smith

A graveside service for Glenn Donald Smith will be held at 1pm, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Language Center.

Mr. Smith died Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was the son of the late Hattie Richardson Smith and the late Fred D. Smith of Damascus, VA. He was an Army Veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. He was a life member of VFW Post 641, a 33 Degree member of Columbia Scottish Rite Bodies, Dentsville Masonic Lodge No. 398, Myrtle Lodge No. 3 Knights of Pythias, Columbia York Rite Bodies and Life Member United States Constabulary Association.

Surviving are his sons, Andy H. Smith of Damascus, VA, Gary D. Smith of Elgin, SC; brothers, Paul D. Smith of PA; seven Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Ruth E. Smith; sister, Dorothy Barr; brothers, Frederick H. Smith and Larry D. Smith.
