Obituary of Johnny Lee Butler
Johnny Lee Butler, 73, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away October 3, 2022, at MUSC Columbia. He was born on September 11, 1949, in Panama, Central America, to the late Dewey and Gladys Bonilla Butler.
Johnny was from a large family: siblings, Maryann Jones, Linda and Cliff Bourgeois, Ricky Bannister, Kathy Rengering, Jerry (Pam) Rengering, Danny (Joanna) Rengering, a step-mother, Grace Butler, and many nieces and nephews.
Johnny is survived by: His wife, Carol Ann Butler and daughter, Ashley Marie Price.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister, Maryann Jones, and step-father Jerome Rengering.
Johnny was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, wildlife and enjoyed being out in nature. Traveling and taking photographs. He loved cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home Lexington on Friday from 10:00 – 10:50 A.M. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the Thompson Funeral Home State Room E with the Rev. David Spears officiating.
