Carol and Ashlee:
Hope, Stephanie and I send our condolences to you and your family during these sad times. May John finally receive comfort as it has been a tough few years for him. Hopefully in the next few weeks, you and Ashlee can find comfort in the memories and resume your lives moving forward.

John was family. We have worked together for so long and shared so many laughs and stories about his family who he cherished (wife, daughter, brothers, sisters, mother). I will always remember our times together.
Sail away to Spain, my friend. I love you ...

John was a great friend who will be missed dearly. His family became my family and mine became his. Some of my best times with John was going to his shooting club and listening to him talk about his young shooters. He was very passionate about the kids while showing them the proper technics. I will miss our hard conversations and laughter we shared while at work. Me and my family will truly miss him. My kids will always remember their Uncle John. Love the Brown Family. RIP.

John was a trusted and special friend. John was the original dog whisperer. Our pets got excited when we left home because they knew John would be coming over to care for them. My husband, whose last name is also Butler, and John were known as the disaster twins. John was born on 9-11 and my husband was born on 1-28, the date of the challenger disaster. I enjoyed exchanging recipes with John and enjoyed hearing him talk about new cooking techniques, We also exchanged seeds and gardening triumphs and disasters. John was passionate about his work with the junior shooting program. John’s eyes would light when he spoke of his young shooters’ successes. John worked to leave the world better than he found it and he succeeded. John will be missed.
