Obituary of Sylvia Drafts Marchant

Sylvia Drafts Marchant, 82, of West Columbia, SC passed away peacefully July 25, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Marchant.

Sylvia was the daughter of the late Claude R Drafts Sr. and Croney Price Drafts.  She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church and a graduate from Brookland-Cayce High School.  Sylvia was the At-Work Coordinator at Weight Watchers for 20 plus years.  She enjoyed Carolina Gamecock football, politics, social media, long conversations with her friends and loved her family above all else.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Marchant, Debbie Ouzts (Allen) and Angie Gregory (Michael); grandchildren Lisa Harmon (Damon), Whitney O’Kelley (Casey) Kaylin Burt (Ryan), McKenzie Ouzts, Logan Gregory and Linzie Gregory; great grandchild, Lailah Harmon.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC on Saturday, July 30^th, 2022, at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow the service at Mt. Hebron United Methodist church.  Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm prior to the service.

If lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church building fund.
