Obituary of Sara L. Langston

Mrs. Sara L. Langston, 89, of Columbia, SC, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was born in Lamar, SC, on June 9, 1933 to the late C.B. and Beulah Andrews Howell. Sara was employed at College Place United Methodist Church for numerous years as a secretary before she founded E&D Enterprises Inc. in 1990 with her late husband Dean and her late son Edwin (Eddie) Langston.

Sara was a faithful member of Kilbourne Park Baptist Church. Sara enjoyed traveling, shopping, walking, going to church, her morning coffee at Lizard Thicket and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Isadore (Dean) Langston, she was preceded in death by her son, Edwin (Eddie) R. Langston, and grandson, Michael D. Langston lI. Left to cherish her memory are her Son, Michael Langston (Patti), Daughter-in-law, Brigitta Langston and four grandchildren, Steven, April, Brooke and Zack; and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held at Kilbourne Park Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 845 Leesburg Rd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kilbourne Park Baptist Church or The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

The family would like to express their deepest and most sincere appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Atria Forest Lake for taking such great care of Sara.
