Obituary of David J. Post

WEST COLUMBIA—David J. Post passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.  A son of the late Charles P. Post, Sr., and Elizabeth Mary Schillinger Post, he was born on November 8, 1952, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.   

He was a great brother and fantastic uncle. Anyone who knew him knew he would give the shirt off his back. He was an avid gamer, something he particularly enjoyed doing with his niece Jennifer.  

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Charles Paul Post, Jr., and Robert B. Post; and a sister, Dorothy M. Post. He is survived by his brother Edwin L. Post; sisters Carol A. Deese and Mary Varnadore; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3 p.m., at Southland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ernie Medlin officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister Mary.
