David Scott Langfitt
June 6th, 1966 - May 15th, 2022

David was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Joanne; his parents, William V. Langfitt, Jr. and Dot E. Langfitt; a granddaughter, Chelsea; and nephews, Billy Langfitt and TJ Langfitt.

David is survived by brothers, William (Patty) V Langfitt, III of Gresham, OR, and Timothy (Lisa) Langfitt of Leesville, SC; nieces, Sabrina Langfitt of Salem, OR, and Shelby Langfitt of Leesville, SC; daughter, Tina Elders of Eastover, SC; grandchildren, Paige, Zachery, Bryant, Stephanie, Hunter, and Hayley; and 13 great grandchildren.

David graduated from Christ School High School, Arden, NC in 1985. David loved fishing, hunting, shrimping, and just being on the water. He also enjoyed USC football. David worked for 15 years as a guard at the Department of Corrections, 12 years as a private investigator, and 10 years as co-owner of FIT Home Repairs. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.

Thompson Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC will be handling David’s service on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Visitation will be at 10am with a service at 11 followed by interment in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zachery Elders, Bryant Elders, Hunter Elders, Austin Hammer, Toby Hammer, and Sam Mitrovich.
