Obituary of Vivian Corley

Vivian Corley, 89, widow of John R. Corley, Jr., died on April 28, 2022. Visitation will be from 11am to 12:30pm on May 2, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road in Lexington. A brief graveside service will be held after the visitation at the Woodridge Memorial Park Gazebo 138 Corley Mill Road in Lexington, at 1pm.

Born in Florence, SC, Mrs. Corley was the daughter of the late Joseph Morgan Hanna and Bertha Lawrence Hanna. She was the co-owner of Corley’s Nursery and Garden Center in West Columbia until her retirement. She is survived by her children, Denise Hudson (Mike), Delinda Hicks (Eddie) and Delaine Corley; grandchildren Tonya Amaker (William) and Kevin Hicks (Melissa). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and six great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Mrs. Corley was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Eaddy and her brothers, Paul Ray Hanna and Harry Joe Hanna. She was also greeted in heaven by her grandson, Matthew Hudson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kirk Steptoe and his staff, the MSA Hospice staff and everyone at My Pharmacy & Optical in Lexington for their loving care and support during her illness.

The family requests that those in attendance wear casual attire in Vivian’s honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Vivian’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
