Robert Corley (Bobby) Shull of Lexington died Wednesday, April 20, 2022.  Born August 31, 1934 in Lexington County, he was the son of the late Robbie E. and Mamie Corley Shull.  Bobby was a lifetime member of St. David Lutheran Church, served on the Church Council, was a member of St. David Lutheran Men where he served as Secretary and President, and a member of Committee of 100.  He graduated from Lexington High School and was a proud member of the Wildcat football team for 4 years then attended Newberry College.  He served as a Staff Sergeant in the SC Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve for 4 years.

There were two things Bobby Shull was most known for: One, was his love for gardening. He took great pride in sharing the produce from his well-tended garden with family and friends.  Second, was his love for Edisto Beach.  He spent his happiest times fishing and shrimping in the creeks of Edisto and hanging out under the house with his beloved dog, Coby, or his beach buddies, laughing and sharing stories, or frying up the day’s catch.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie S. Shull, known to all as Lolly; children, Rhonda S. Beaudrot (Jeff) of Lexington, Daphne S. Bates (Hugh) of Rock Hill, and Denise S. Ross (Daniel) of Greer; grandchildren, Ryan Beaudrot, Jared Beaudrot (Taylor), Josh Bates, Vivian Bates, Davis Ross (Erin) and Julia Ross; great grandchild, Holly Ross; sister-in-law, Betty S. Taylor, brother-in-law, Woody Senn (Tommie) and a number of special nieces, nephews and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by brother, Wyman Shull (Virginia); brother, Norman L. Shull (Jewell); sister, Bernice Corley (Horace) and brother-in-law Charles W. Taylor.
