Obituary of Annita M. Galvao

Annita M. Galvao of Greer and Columbia, SC, died peacefully at the age of 89 at the Lexington Community Hospice in Lexington, SC, on March 17, 2022. She was born in Itapetinga, Brazil, in 1932 and went on to achieve a teaching degree. Annita eventually emigrated to the United States along with her husband and three children in 1968. Annita quickly assimilated to life in Lowell, MA, where she worked as a fabric inspector for the next 25 years.

Upon their retirement, Annita and her husband, Luiz, moved to Goodyear, AZ, and then moved to South Carolina to be closer to their children. After the passing of her husband in 2014, Annita was taken care of by her two sons, Luis and Lucio Galvao.

Annita loved to cook for her family and enjoyed crocheting. She was a very devoted and loving mother, and wife.  She will be greatly missed.

Annita was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alexandre and Joventina Milani; her husband of 59 years, Luiz Galvao; and her 7 siblings.

Annita is survived by her three children, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
