Obituary of Mary L Harrington

Mary "Judy" L. Harrington, 80, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Richland Memorial Hospital. 

She was born September 7, 1941 in Columbia, SC, daughter of Nathaniel "Chick" and Lucy Driggers. She married Bobby R. Harrington on August 15, 1962. 

Mary was a strong, independent, God-fearing woman. She walked by Faith daily and her family finds comfort in knowing she is with her Lord Shepherd. Mary spent her life in Columbia, SC being a remarkable house wife. She loved her kids and grandkids dearly. She enjoyed knitting, dancing, and singing with her family. Mary lived a full, happy life and for that we are thankful! 

She is survived by three daughters, Darlene Harrington of Columbia, Jill Harrington- Buff of West Columbia, and Diane Harrington of Williston; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; two sisters, Nancy (Richard) Crain of Gaston, and Kathy (John) Wandell of Mississippi. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Harrington; her daughter, Teresa Harrington; three brothers, Jack Driggers, Eugene Driggers, and Cecil Driggers; and both of her parents. 

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5th at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington at 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM with Funeral Director Timothy Brand and Pastor Johnny Brewington conducting. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery 1024 Elmwood Ave. Columbia, SC.
