Obituary of Michael Allen Rish

Michael Allen Rish, 67, of West Columbia, SC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022 after a long and strenuous battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his wife, Ann; daughter, Melissa; son-in-law, Matt; grandchildren, Ryan, Keith, and Meghan Taylor; sister, Cathy; and beloved neighbors and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, Willie C. and Catherine Allen Rish. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, Denham Avenue, West Columbia, at 12:30pm, with visitation starting at 11:00am in the church. Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Gardens.  

Mike loved his tractors and mowers and was the owner of Mike’s Outdoors after he retired from Toyota Center of West Columbia.  Mike loved teaching his grandchildren about his hobbies; tinkering with tractors and mowers, fishing, and gardening.  He loved to play the piano, watch Jeopardy and Billy Graham.  He was the unofficial neighborhood watchman, and was always there to lend a helping hand.  His employees will remember him as the man who loved them like family, and was there to take care of them.
