Oh dear Linda. I can't stop thinking about you all. My heart breaks for you. All I know is that God is with you always. You and Gordon both were so dear and kind to us and especially helpful during the adoption process. You are in our prayers. May Jesus hold you in His arms.

To My Dear Friend, his Wife, and his Adult Children,
I first met Gordon on September 7, 1963 at our 1st grade introduction at North Elementary School in Newark, Ohio. You
could not miss Gordon because he was the tallest 1st grader that I had ever seen. It didn't take long to see that Gordon
not only had the longest legs, but the biggest smile, biggest heart, biggest love for people, a real gentle giant. As time passed
it became evident we were somewhat alike and became good friends.
On February 19, 1969, together we had one of our biggest thrills by winning the Newark Area Jaycee 6th Grade Basketball
Tournament Championship. Gordon was the center and I was a guard. Gordon went on to play baseball, as a pitcher he
threw the ball harder then anyone in the league. All during sports Gordon not only had the longest legs, but the biggest smile,
biggest heart, biggest love for people, a real gentle giant.
On June 7, 1975, along with 1050 other classmates, Gordon and I graduated from Newark Senior High School and now
headed to college. On August 11, 1975, Gordon and I attended Central Ohio Technical College. Gordon pursued Computer
Programming while I pursued Engineering. Even though this was the first time we were headed in different directions, Gordon
still not only had the longest legs, but the biggest smile, biggest heart, biggest love for people, a real gentle giant.
From 1977 through 2016 (39 years), our paths were so opposite with our careers, marriage, and families. Gordon was in Ohio,
Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina, while I was in Ohio, Georgia, and South Carolina. We had not seen or heard of
each other for 39 years.
On June 6, 2016, while sitting in my office, I felt God saying, "find a old friend from Ohio",….but who Lord?
"Look for Gordon Carle". But where do I start looking for someone that I haven't seen in 30 years. GOOGLE his name…...
and sure enough a phone number popped up from South Carolina.
I called the number and was greeted by a female voice that told me he would call me back if I left my number.
That evening Gordon called, we couldn't believe we were living 1 hour apart in the same state of South Carolina.
We set a time and date to meet at a local restaurant. On June 25, 2016, Gordon, my Wife and I met for some good Mexican
food while wondering where the last 39 years had gone. Neither one of us could believe we had found each other after all
these years. My heart was over joyed when Gordon told me he had given his life to God. We had a great time together
and after all these years Gordon still not only had the longest legs, but the biggest smile, biggest heart, biggest love for
people, a real gentle giant, and love for God.
After June 25, 2016, we continued to share our life and families with each other, we went golfing, discussed the Tavi business,
in 2020 Linda & Gordon and Elizabeth & I went on a 1 week cruise to several Central America countries, went boating,
and cooked for each other. We called each other at least 3 times a week talking for hours on hours. We discussed politics,
guns, cars, God, our families, Q, and the USA. We respected each other and understood where each was coming from
because we knew where we had both been. In all of our recent time, Gordon still not only had the longest legs, but the biggest
smile, biggest heart, biggest love for people, a real gentle giant, and love for God.
On January 28, 2022, I lost a real friend that I will miss dearly. But I know where he is now those knees don't hurt, and the
sadness is all gone. I called Gordon while he was laying in the hospital, I asked, "what are they doing for you in there",...
he replied "Mike, this is a God thing", I replied "Gordon I understand". We will meet again my friend in heaven. And when we
meet Gordon will have the longest legs, the biggest smile, the biggest heart for people, a real gentle giant, and love for God.
Your Friends Forever,
Michael & Elizabeth Green

Dearest Linda, Robert, Kristen and Lian,
Sylvia and I send our prayers and love for you and your dear husband and father. May the memories of his life provide you with joy to overcome your loss. Though we never met him we shared in the love he gave to you all and the good times he gave throughout his life. Though we feel cheated from having known him we are comforted that we will get acquainted when we leave this world to join Jesus in his kingdom.
May you live out your lives in the joy that you had Gordon as your own for many years.
Love from,
Joe Calaminici and Sylvia Guarino, Estero, FL
